TSS-P
TSS-P features advanced technologies, including Pre-Collision System, Lane Departure Alert, Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, and Automatic High Beam.
TSS 2.0
TSS 2.0 builds on TSS-P and consists of up to six active safety and driver assistance systems.
TSS 2.5+ and 2.5+
TSS 2.5 and 2.5+ add new capabilities to the Pre-Collision and Dynamic Radar Cruise Control Systems and enhance Lane Departure Alert and Lane Tracing Assist.
TSS 3.0
TSS 3.0 brings even more advances, including Motorcycle Detection, Proactive Driving Assist, and Road Sign Assist.
Pre-Collision System
TSS-P - This system helps you avoid accidents, alerting you to the likelihood of a collision and braking when needed.
TSS 2.0 - Pedestrian detection is added, depending on the situation.
TSS 2.5 AND 2.5+ - Daytime/low-light vehicle and pedestrian detection, along with daytime bicycle detection, is added.
TSS 3.0 - Pedestrian daytime and low-light detection, daytime bicycle detection, intersection support and Emergency Steering Assist are the highlights of the top level.
Lane Departure Alert
TSS-P - Provides collision avoidance or collision mitigation support when a frontal collision is likely to occur, and can automatically apply the brakes to help the driver.
TSS 2.0 - Detects bicyclists in daytime situations, as well as vehicles and pedestrians in both daytime and low-light situations.
TSS 2.5 AND 2.5+ - Warns of pedestrians or vehicles during left or right turns, can apply emergency braking when needed, and includes Emergency Steering Assist to help stabilize sudden maneuvers and keep the vehicle in its lane when avoiding obstacles.
TSS 3.0 - Adds intersection collision avoidance for crossing vehicles, low-speed collision avoidance to prevent rear-ending another vehicle, and can detect motorcycles.
Dynamic Radar Cruise Control
TSS-P - This highway stream adjusts and maintains your preset distance to the vehicle ahead. It works between 40 km/h and 180 km/h.
TSS 2.0 - This Full-Speed Range Dynamic Radar Cruise Control allows for vehicle-to-vehicle control all the way to 0 km/h and is able to return even after you come to a complete stop.
TSS 2.5 AND 2.5+ - Curve Speed Management decelerates the vehicle around a curve if needed.
Lane Tracing Assist
TSS 2.0 - This system works with Dynamic Radar Cruise Control to keep you centred and prevent drifting out of your lane.
TSS 2.5 AND 2.5+ - The system is improved with Enhanced Line & Road Recognition, working where markings may not exist.
TSS 3.0 - Adds Offset Passing and Emergency Driving Stop System to bring the vehicle to a stop under certain conditions where an inattentive driver may not respond to prompts, thereby retaining control of the vehicle.
Road Sign Assist
TSS 3.0 - Road Sign Assist (RSA) is designed to help provide the driver with additional awareness of posted road signs. It is capable of detecting speed limit signs, stop signs, 'Do Not Enter' signs, yield signs, and certain warning signs, and displays an icon of the sign on the Multi-Information Display (MID).
Automatic High Beam
TSS-P, TSS 2.0, TSS 2.5 AND 2.5+, TSS 3.0 - All TSS packages feature Automatic High Beam (AHB) headlamps. The system reacts to oncoming headlamps or preceding taillamps, automatically switching from high-beam to low-beam and then back again once the coast is clear.

Safety Awards are a key indicator of Toyota’s dedication to safety. With several awards year after year from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS), TTS continues to make your safety a top priority.
Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS): ABS helps prevent brakes from locking up by pulsing brake pressure to each wheel to help you stay in control in emergency braking situations.
Brake Assist (BA): Brake Assist is designed to detect sudden or "panic" braking and then add the full pressure needed to help prevent a collision.
Smart Stop Technology: This advanced technology automatically cuts engine power and allows the brakes to take precedence over the accelerator when both pedals are pressed at the same time.
Vehicle Stability Control (VSC): VSC helps prevent wheelslip and loss of traction by reducing engine power and applying brake force to the wheels that need it.
Traction Control (TRAC): TRAC helps maintain traction on wet, icy, loose or uneven surfaces by applying brake force to the spinning wheel(s).
Electronic Brake Force Distribution (EBD): Toyota's ABS technology uses EBD to help keep the vehicle more stable and balanced when braking.

Critical Testing
Toyota conducts over 1,600 vehicle crash tests and thousands more virtual simulations annually. Targeted sensors feed data to our engineers throughout each crash test, giving us the information necessary to adapt and improve the design of our vehicles to maximize your safety.
Triple Checking
No Toyota vehicle makes it onto Canada’s highways without going through multiple check points. Take our airbags, for example. Each airbag is inspected three separate times on the production line before being connected to the airbag system via corrosion-resistant terminals.
