Nelson Toyota was founded by Maurice Renwick in 1969 and continues as a family owned and operated business. Being raised in Nelson and having years of auto repair experience under his belt, Maurice was very aware of the automotive needs of Kootenay residents. He knew how well the Toyota brand, with its exceptional reliability and known toughness, would fit the 'Kootenay Lifestyle'. He went out on a limb and turned his gas station into one of the most revered car dealerships in the area. Many changes have been made since its humble beginnings as a two-bay service station, in 2002 the dealership went through major renovations making it now one of the most technologically advanced auto dealerships in the Kootenays. Its state of the art service facility houses five fully equipped service bays and offers a wide range of services from simple oil changes to major mechanical repairs, as well as auto detailing and tire sales.
The four-car showroom features a relaxing customer lounge with all the amenities including an espresso machine, TV and free WiFi.
